The story of WIDIA:
1926 : The company begins first tungsten carbide production. First Patent grated for coated Carbide inserts.
1968 : Launches the first global coated grade and also launch of first PVD TIN coated taps
2002 : New Era begins as Kennametal Inc. complete acquisition of Widia group
2009 : Kennametal integrated its brands, including Widia, into two distinct portfolios: WIDIA Products Group and Kennametal Products Group. Continues to innovate, embracing new technologies and expanding its product range to cater to various industries
